Kids - Prague 9 - Beginners

Prosek lives and breathes Irish dance! On Wednesdays from 15:00 to 16:00, kids aged 6–15 meet in Hall D at DDM Prague 9, Prosek branch (Mesicka 720/2). The club is for complete beginners, boys and girls alike, regardless of prior experience or movement ability. The class is led by Irena Minarikova and connects to our community program — kids can perform at events and competitions and discover Irish traditions in a fun way.

🟢 What to expect

• Softshoes technique — jig, reel, slip jig
• Safe introduction to hardshoes (step)
• Group choreography and teamwork
• Games, creative activities, and cultural insights (holidays, music, legends)
• Fees and registration are handled by DDM Prague 9 (see link above)
• Bring shorts or leggings, a T-shirt, black ballet flats with black soles, a hair tie, and water

Certified instructor-led training

Classes are led by an experienced instructor with the international T.C.R.G. certification, combining professional guidance with a gentle approach to children.

Cultural overlap

We show children that Irish dance belongs to a broader culture. We celebrate Irish holidays and get to know Irish traditions together.

Performance opportunities

Kids can perform at cultural events and selected competitions, building healthy confidence and joy in teamwork.
